Emphasis

Ah, good old Epicetus. As if to emphasize my point from the previous post, I found this gem from Roman times:

"What ought one to say then as each hardship comes? I was practicing for this, I was training for this?- - Epictitus"

Indeed.

Peace Out Yo's.

Very nice. Also check out a blog called "Listening to Katrina" if you've not yet done so.

Martin!

Thank you!

Yes, that is a most excellent blog. I checked it out last year one memorable fall night before the election when I awoke at 2am and couldn't go back to sleep. I read it in full, well, more or less, and it was like I was getting a good, firm talking to.

One of the points that haunts me is how he just made it out of New Orleans. Another is his description of the Super Dome, conditions there, and how so many people believed the government was going to rescue them. His observation that the government exists to preserve itself is accurate and disturbing.

Ah that is a great blog. Whenever I feel like I am letting down my guard prep wise I go back there. The images are creepy and enough to make me want to strap on my piece.
